Rose hydrosol is a floral water obtained during steam distillation of damask rose flowers. It contains water-soluble plant particles and a small amount of essential oil, which gives it a delicate fragrance. Thanks to its natural pH, the hydrosol is suitable for the care of various skin types, especially dry and couperose skin. It has moisturizing, refreshing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties and strengthens blood vessels. The hydrosol is milder than the essential oil and can be used on the face, body and hair. It can replace a toner and serve as a base ingredient in various types of cosmetics. It can also be used as a refreshing face and body mist, and on hot days it is worth keeping it in the fridge.
Using the hydrolate on freshly cleansed skin will not only restore its proper pH after using the cleanser, but also prepare the face for the next stages of care. It is also a great base ingredient for all kinds of rinses, masks, tonics or conditioners or as a humectant base in the hair oiling process.
PROPERTIES:
Damask rose hydrosol will especially be popular with owners of dry, sensitive and couperose skin. It has moisturizing and nourishing properties. Thanks to the flavonoids present in rose petals – anthocyanins, the hydrolate has a regenerative effect, stimulates microcirculation and helps strengthen blood vessels. In addition, it evens out skin tone, restores its healthy glow, reduces puffiness and lightens discoloration. It is a soothing compress for irritated, unpleasantly tense skin. It is also great as a lifebuoy for the skin after a bit too intense sunbathing and bites.
How:
1. Toning and cleansing – spray a cotton pad and gently cleanse the skin of your face.
2. Refresh – close your eyes and spray on your face and décolleté.
3. Nourish the skin under the eyes – spray a cotton pad and place it on closed eyes. Leave on for 5 minutes.
