Traditional Savon Noir looks a bit different than most commonly known soaps. This potassium-based cosmetic does not take the form of a hard bar or even a liquid - it comes in the form of a thick, gel paste. When you scoop a little of it into your hand and mix it with warm water, it will take on a velvety texture and spread easily on the skin. If you hold the soap in your hands for a while, it will warm up and melt pleasantly between your fingers. After spreading Savon Noir on the body, the skin will become pleasantly soft and smooth.
This is due, among other things, to olive oil, on which the soap is based. It contains large amounts of vitamin E (also known as the vitamin of youth), as well as vitamin F - which protects the skin against moisture loss. Savon Noir is therefore perfect for people with dry, vascular, and even oily and acne-prone skin. It can be helpful in regulating excessive sebum production.
Thanks to its natural properties, this soap will also work well as a base for mechanical peeling - it will help effectively remove dead skin, accelerate the natural exfoliation process, and additionally nourish the skin. This is one of the reasons why Savon Noir soap has been used for centuries as one of the essential elements of the Hammam care ritual. This term literally means a Turkish bath or sauna, and the ritual itself is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. It is somewhat reminiscent of modern SPA treatments and consists of several stages. The first one involves pleasant warming of the skin and maximum opening of pores in a sauna or steam bath, and at home simply serving yourself a hot (but not exaggerated!) shower. Then, spread Savon Noir soap on the prepared hot skin and leave it for a few minutes so that it can work properly on it. After this time, you should perform a scrub using a peeling glove (preferably ours, because it's extra), massage the soap into the skin in circular motions and rinse it with warm water. You can also additionally apply a clay-based mask (usually Ghassoul) to the skin of the whole body. The culmination of the ritual is a massage with the use of oil.

HOW TO USE:

Scoop a little paste into your hands and mix with a little water until a liquid consistency is obtained. Spread the soap all over the body, leave it on for 5-10 minutes, then wash it off with warm water using a scrubbing mitt. After such a treatment, the skin will not only be well cleansed, but also smooth and soft.
